i would hardly say i don't notice trees on a regular basis; still, with all the trees around campus starting to get all green, i'm noticing trees anew. have you ever been struck by a tree that you've walked by for years, but never really took the time to dissect it, or internalize it, or noticed the curvature of its branches as it fans upwards and/or outwards? kind of like that. the newfound leafiness makes things more bulbous, robust, less spindly and hardy and bleak like those new england winters i've come to endure and love.
alas, spring has sprung and the gaiety in the air is mixed with excitement, trepidation. where am i going with my life? at least i've got trees..
